Wherever possible, we use environmentally-friendly options in our processes. This doesn’t just apply to the packaging of our goods. We also prefer to use green shipping options like DHL GoGreen. We also do our best to reduce the return rate which we measure very carefully and are always well below the industry average. This helps to reduce the number of parcels sent and thus the environmental impact. By focusing on local retailers, we are also reducing the land consumption demanded by mail order companies with their large warehouses. This contribution goes towards reducing urban sprawl and the struggle for vacant land near cities.

Greenlocal stands for more commitment and sustainability. We want sustainability to be firmly established in our society. Both our partners’ and retailers’ brands are already sustainable but have been unable to showcase this prominently on our industry platforms. In 2021, the time will come: we are launching a platform where only sustainably-focused retailers can advertise their environmental, socially sustainable products.
Greenlocal will launch in 2021 and become an important part of The Platform Group. We believe that everyone can play their part in making the world a more sustainable place. Up to now, taking responsibility for a lifestyle that consumes fewer resources is still far too often seen as a purely personal decision. But it is up to companies to set the framework for sustainable lifestyles so that our vision of the future can become a reality, namely a good quality of life for everyone.
